Makes 12 dozen

8 cups flour

2 1/2 cups sugar

2 cups cocoa

1 1/2 cups Crisco

1/2 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. salt

9 tsp. B.P.

5 eggs

1 13 1/2 oz can crushed pineapple, juice included

1 cup chopped nuts or raisins

Sift dry ingredients together

Beat shortening and eggs together add the pineapple

Add dry ingredients, mix well, add nuts or raisins,mix by

hand make small balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake 11 min.

Cool and frost with 1 lb. confectioners sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla
